FANGIRL! By rainbowrowell! YAY!
I painted this today, and I’m totally going to bring it along to wear at LeakyCon this year. It’s perfect - both for its fangirl-ish-ness, and to wear for the lit track! :D
Peeta Mellark: Spirit of Strength
Capitol Couture has been waiting eagerly for the next wave of incredible images of our cherished elite, and here they are! Fresh from the excitement of the most eventful Quarter Quell to date, we are thrilled and honored to present the new Capitol Living Portraits.
As our Quarter Quell victors, Peeta Mellark and Johanna Mason hold the distinct honor of being the first Capitol citizens featured within a Living Portrait. Peeta stands tall and true in his Living Portrait, his matte leather Unconditional ensemble showcasing a stone-like texture and channeling the victor’s quiet strength, completed by shirt and shoes courtesy of Maison Martin Margiela. The paper collar piece, designed by David Mason, mirrors the sculptural elements in Johanna’s dress and gives a stern ambiance to the baker’s son. With an unprecedented two victories under his belt, Peeta is no longer the boy who bravely faced the 74th Hunger Games, but a true Capitol hero.
Citizens can witness the artist’s hand-selected series of Living Portraits in person at SOCA this summer.
Weird Al Yankovic - “Foil”
Parody of Lorde’s “Royals”
"Oh by the way, I’ve cracked the code.
I’ve figured out these ‘Shadow War’ connotations.
And the Illuminati knows that they’re finally primed
for world domination.
And soon you’ve got black helicopters
comin’ cross the border,
puppet masters for the New World Order.
Be aware, there’s always someone that’s watching you.
And still the government won’t admit
they faked the whole moon landing,
thought control rays, psychotronic scanning, don’t mind that,
I’m protected ‘cuz I made this hat from aluminum foil!
Wear a hat that’s foil lined in case an alien’s inclined to
probe your butt or read your mind.
Looks a bit peculiar, seems a little crazy, but some day I’ll prove
there’s a big conspiracy.”
